A jármű leírása

  • Long term ownership with extensive history
  • Matching colors, engine and gearbox!
  • Beautiful and unmolested example
  • Vibrant Viper Green over black
  • Rare final year 911 S Targa

A rare final-year 911 S Targa, finished in its original and vibrant Viper Green over black leatherette, and retaining matching numbers engine, gearbox, and color combination—as confirmed by the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Delivered new in Italy and cherished by the same owner for an incredible 40 years, this example combines provenance, originality, and restoration quality in one exceptional package.
This 2.4S was delivered new in Italy in the striking and rare color combination of Viper Green with a black leatherette interior. Remarkably, it remained in Italy until recently and was cherished by the same owner for an incredible 40 years—since January 1985.

Although acquired by its last owner four decades ago, this Targa still presents in excellent overall condition today. This beautiful '73 911S underwent a full disassembly and comprehensive restoration, with the body returned to factory-fresh condition. Starting from a solid and original base, the shell was sanded and blocked before being refinished in its original color. Panel gaps and fittings are excellent, with no excessive use of filler, original floors, and more.
According to both the previous owner and our own inspection, there is no evidence of rust repairs or previous accident damage. Though restored some years ago, the paintwork still presents beautifully today. The factory black-anodized engine grille and badges remain original and show a lovely patina. The restoration preserved key original elements—chrome, glass, and badging—highlighting the authenticity of the car.
Inside, the cabin is clean and largely original. It has been well maintained and sympathetically renewed where needed, retaining as many original components as possible. The original radio is still present. As confirmed by the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this EU-spec car was factory-delivered with black leatherette interior.
During the body restoration in 2014, both the matching-numbers 2.4L engine and gearbox were overhauled, including new pistons, cylinders, hydraulic chain tensioners, and a fully rebuilt MFI system (recalibrated again in 2022). The result is crisp throttle response, smooth idle, and tight gear shifts—just as a proper 911S should deliver.
The engine starts instantly at the turn of the key and idles smoothly. It revs freely through the rpm range, and gear shifts are swift and precise.
The car is accompanied by its original toolkit, jack, spare wheel and tire,, a comprehensive set of documents including numerous invoices, the Italian Porsche Certificate, Italian libretto, and many photos documenting the restoration.
Recently registered in Belgium, this 911 had never left Italy until 2025, spending decades near La Spezia and Bari, and was even featured by Porsche Centre Bari during an official event—testament to its outstanding presentation.
The 2.4 911S Targa offers the perfect blend of classic looks, mechanical purity, and real-world usability. With its rare spec, long-term ownership, and meticulous restoration, this example presented in a fantastic period color is a standout opportunity to own one of the most desirable and collectible early 911s.

Currently registered in Belgium.
