Uiteraard is de Triumph Stag op zichzelf al een zeer bijzondere en schitterende auto. De karakteristieke vormgeving is afkomstig van Michelotti en daarmee is het een stijlvolle 4-zits roadster. De Triumph Stag is geproduceerd van 1970 tot 1977 en er zijn er bijna 26.000 van gemaakt. Wat deze schitterende en in bijna perfecte staat verkerende Triumph Stag extra bijzonder en aantrekkelijk maakt, is het feit dat dit echt één van de eerst geproduceerde Stags is. De auto heeft chassisnummer 89 en het aanwezige geboortecertificaat geeft een productiedatum op van juni 1970. Deze auto is geleverd aan de Nederlandse importeur en heeft vervolgens op meerdere beurzen en tenoonstellingen gestaan. In 1973 is de auto op kenteken gezet. Het betreft dus een origineel Nederlandse auto in zijn originele New White kleur, afkomstig uit een zeldzame voorserie. En wat ook bijzonder is, de auto heeft nog maar twee eigenaren gehad, waarvan de laatste de auto in bezit heeft gehad vanaf 1988.

Deze Triumph Stag is in uitzonderlijk goede conditie. De auto is in het verleden volledig gerestaureerd en het motorblok is gereviseerd. Uiteraard zijn hier foto’s van aanwezig. De restauratie is vakkundig uitgevoerd, met zoveel mogelijk behoud van originaliteit. Zeker bij een auto met deze achtergrond historie, is dat van groot belang. Overigens, voor restauratie was de auto ook al in goede conditie, zoals zichtbaar is op de foto’s En ook duidelijk zichtbaar is, dat de auto daarna met zeer veel zorg en liefde is onderhouden. Er zijn diverse taxatierapporten aanwezig, waarvan de laatste (2022) een waarde aangeeft van € 37.000,00. Ook zijner een aantal onderhoudsfacturen en APK rapporten aanwezig.

De carrosserie is in zeer goede conditie. Het lakwerk is nog zeer mooi en heeft een diepe glans. De carrosseriedelen sluiten mooi aan en alles voelt ook degelijk en goed. De diverse chroomdelen en sierdelen zijn nog in bijna nieuwstaat. De stijlvolle en originele kleur New White staat bijzonder mooi met het zwart lederen interieur. Ook de aanwezige hardtop is in prima en zeer goede staat. Dit geldt ook voor de zwarte cabrioletkap. Het interieur is ook in prima staat. De achterbank is zo ongeveer nieuw en op twee kleine plekjes na, zijn ook de voorstoelen in bijna nieuwstaat. Het dashboard is ook keurig en alles werkt naar behoren.

Rijden is een bijzonder aangenaam in deze comfortabele 4-zits roadster. Het prachtige geluid uit de RVS uitlaat maakt de radio overbodig. Schakelen gaat bijzonder soepel en ook het sturen voelt heel degelijk en soepel aan. De heerlijke 3.0 V8 motor loopt zeer mooi en rustig en maakt zowel rustig als sportief rijden mogelijk. We kunnen niet anders zeggen dat we eigenlijk best trots zijn om zo’n mooie en heerlijk rijdende Triumph Stag in onze collectie te mogen aanbieden.

The Triumph Stag was produced from 1970 to 1977 and almost 26,000 were made. What makes this beautiful and in near perfect condition Triumph Stag extra special and attractive is the fact that this really is one of the first Stags produced. The car has chassis number 89 and the birth certificate present gives a production date of June 1970. This car was delivered to the Dutch importer and has subsequently been on several fairs and exhibitions. The car was registered in 1973. It is therefore an original Dutch car in its original New White colour, originating from a rare pre-series. And what is also special, the car has only had two owners, the last of whom owned the car from 1988.

This Triumph Stag is in exceptionally good condition. The car has been fully restored in the past and the engine block has been overhauled. Of course there are photos of this. The restoration has been expertly carried out, preserving as much originality as possible. This is very important, especially with a car with this background history. Incidentally, the car was also in good condition before restoration, as can be seen in the photos. It is also clearly visible that the car was maintained with great care and love afterwards. Various valuation reports are available, the latest of which (2022) indicates a value of € 37,000.00. There are also a number of maintenance invoices and APK reports available.

The bodywork is in very good condition. The paintwork is still very nice and has a deep shine. The body parts fit nicely and everything feels solid and good. The various chrome parts and trim parts are still in almost new condition. The stylish and original color New White is particularly beautiful with the black leather interior. The present hardtop is also in excellent and very good condition. This also applies to the black convertible top. The interior is also in good condition. The rear seat is almost new and, except for two small spots, the front seats are also in almost new condition. The dashboard is also neat and everything works properly.

Driving is a particularly pleasant experience in this comfortable 4-seater roadster. The beautiful sound from the stainless steel exhaust makes the radio superfluous. Switching is very smooth and the steering also feels very solid and smooth. The wonderful 3.0 V8 engine runs very nicely and quietly and makes both quiet and sporty driving possible. We can only say that we are actually quite proud to be able to offer such a beautiful and wonderfully driving Triumph Stag in our collection.
