Nel 2014 viene acquistata da un noto collezionista milanese che intraprende un restauro senza badare a spese: la carrozzeria viene riverniciata da Bottini, la meccanica e ciclistica da Eraldo Mandarini… Tante foto e fatture documentano il lavoro per un totale di oltre 35 mila euro.

Gorgeous Volkswagen Golf GTI 1.800, registered new in Lucca on February 25, 1983, Diamond Silver Metallic L97A over black fabric interior and tinted glasses.
In 2014 this Golf GTI was purchased by a well-known collector from Milano who started a real, thorough restoration: the bodywork was restored by Carrozzeria Bottini, while engine, gearbox, dampers, brakes, etcetera were completely overhauled by Officina Volkswagen Eraldo Mandarini… Several pictures document the works and invoices shows a total exceeding 35.000 euros.
